Curated By also provides easy to use link sharing tools so users can show others what they have collected on a topic of interest.

Curated By was created in London and San Francisco, California. The creators, Bastion Lehmann and Sam Street, came up with the concept and helped make the site what it is today. Lehmann is currently Curated By’s CEO while Street is the site’s developer. Curated By is also listed as an AngelPad company. AngelPad includes a team of former Google employees who offer a mentorship program to assist technology based start up companies.

The site provides all the tools needed to quickly organize information on a topic in a way that is readable and easy to navigate. Curated By has a very organized, neat design that works well for its intended purpose. The homepage includes a live feed highlighting recent user activity. The actual bundles are also very simple to use, despite the wealth of information they can provide. Users can easily seek out and organize many details on a subject in a way that is easy to pass along to others. The bundle helps users identify relevance of each resource.

Creating an account on Curated By is very easy, although it is currently a bit limited. Users can click on the light blue Twitter button along the right hand side of the homepage to log in using their existing Twitter account. Unfortunately no other registration option is currently available. There is no traditional registration form or Facebook alternative. The site also states that it will set the user up to follow their Curated By friends through Twitter. This is a nice touch, but may not be a welcomed feature if the user has no desire to link their Twitter account to Curated By.

Curated By is entirely focused on the efforts of the user. The user is responsible for creating collections and building their bundles. They determine the topics and seek out the resources. The user is essentially responsible for all the work on the site while the site provides the tools to organize their efforts. This works well, especially because Curated By does not require a subscription fee. Anyone can use the site for free.
